Up&Up for Digital Society
Rethinking digital spaces for a more equal and respectful society
Up&Up4ds is a European project designed to explore and transform the digital experiences of young people by addressing gender stereotypes, online violence and digital citizenship.
Building on the success of the original Up&Up initiative, this project brings together partners from Italy, Spain, Romania, and Bulgaria to co-create tools, research, and training activities that raise awareness and drive change across digital platforms.
Why this project matters
Social media and online platforms are powerful spaces for self-expression – but they can also amplify harmful stereotypes and host various forms of gender-based violence, from hate speech to cyberbullying and revenge porn. Young people, educators and parents often feel unequipped to navigate these challenges.
